More the 1000 women in Uganda have received training at WOSDMS in their respective communities.
Youth
Seeing the thousands of widows and orphans left in the wake of the carnage of HIV/AIDs in the late 1980s, BBT Mission stated a youth movement called the Glory of Virginity Movement (GLOVIMO) to encourage youth and young adults to live pure godly lives by abstaining from premarital sexual activity until marriage.
This was a vital initiative in a country where 30% of its citizens tested HIV-positive by the late 1980s. Through youth revival camps and school outreaches, the message of sexual purity was emphasized among the young people.
Together with efforts from various stakeholders in the country, BBT Mission is part of the initiatives that have led to the steady decrease of rates HIV infections with figures reported at 5% of the population as of 2018.
